The Cure is Nitasha’s way to share all of her favourite brands to all of the beauty buffs out there. I was fortunate enough to attend the media party this week and was super impressed with the brands that are offered. Lines such as One Love Organics, John Masters Organics, Evenhealy, Barber and Fritz, Brooklyn Grooming, F. Miller, Old Factory Soap Company, and more mask the shelves exquisitely. I have fallen in love with Skin Essence, and within a days use, I can surely say how much I love their Rosehip Seed Oil and it should be part of everyone’s daily beauty regime.

The Beauty of Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil has a bit of a craze surrounding it lately, with hundreds of different uses. I was skeptical at first, but once I tried a few of the many claims; not only does it have a permanent spot in my pantry, but now it also has a permanent spot in my medicine cabinet. Coconut Oil is naturally antibacterial and antifungal, ultimately moisturizing and smells delicious. Here are my top uses:

  • To Moisturize-softens and hydrates dry skin (my saving grace in the dry winter)
  • To Exfoliate- mixed with sugar, salt, and honey, this mixture exfoliates and hydrates, leaving the skin silky smooth (great for face and body)
  • As a Cuticle Oil- moisturizes and softens cuticles (perfect for when your hands need a little TLC)
  • To Treat Acne-antibacterial components gently fight against acne (ah-mazing!)
  • As a Lip Balm- hydrates and protects (best used before bed)
  • To Remove Makeup- effortlessly removes (key for mascara, be careful to not get it in your eye)
  • As a Hair Serum- smoothes and tames (a little goes a long way)
  • As a Hair Mask/Conditioner-great for added shine and silky texture
  • As a Shaving Oil- makes for a smooth shave, moisturizes and protects against razor burn

What are your go to tricks?Coconut

What’s your Favourite Hue?

Who doesn’t love a bold lip. Personally, I usually have anywhere from 4 to 6 options in my purse from day to day. My Nonna ALWAYS had to have her lipstick on, at her best and worst of times, she would be found applying her favourite hue to add an instant pop. I definitely channel her that way and embrace a bright lip whenever I can. I find it to be the easiest way for an instant pick me up. Some of my favourite go to’s are:

1– NARS – Roman Holiday – An everyday staple  (I think I am on tube # 9)

2– MAC – Zen Rose – Pantone’s 2014 Colour of the Year – a MUST have!

3– MAC – Relentlessly Red – The PERFECT red tone & does not budge for hours!

4– YSL – Le Orange – The IT colour right now, so Hot!
